The road transit through Iran’s territory has increased by 58% in 2023.

The performance of the Ministry at the end of the year spanning from March 2023 to March 2024 shows there has been 58% growth in road transit.

Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, said the 58% growth of road transit in 2023 compared to the same period in the previous year was due to diplomatic negotiations.

Mehrdad Bazarpash wrote in the social networks that road transit in 2023 reached 14.75 million tons, which indicates a 58% increase compared to the 9.3 million tons of transit in the previous year.

He also said soft diplomatic initiatives along with infrastructure development is necessary for the growth of transit.
